Sola Adeseun

Sola Adeseun is a seasoned financial industry leader with 15 years of experience in the banking industry and over 15 years in the pension industry. He currently serves as Acting Director of the States Operations Department at the National Pension Commission (PenCom), where he is responsible for formulating and implementing policies and strategies to drive pension coverage at the subnational level.

In this role, he works closely with State Governments and other key stakeholders to support the adoption, implementation, and sustainability of the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) across the 36 States in Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory, advancing the broader national objective of expanding pension coverage and inclusion.

Drawing on his combined banking and pension expertise, Sola brings a practical, results-oriented perspective to the discussion on reforming pensions at the subnational level. He will moderate the breakout session on "Reforming Pension at the Subnational Level: The Role of States in Driving Pension Coverage."
