About the speaker

Barrister Ivo M. Takor, mni is a distinguished legal practitioner, pension policy architect, and former public servant with decades of leadership across labor relations, regulatory oversight, and public administration.

A key figure in shaping Nigeria's modern pension landscape, he served on the landmark Chief Fola Adeola Pension Reform Committee—co-authoring the Pension Reform Act of 2004—and served on the inaugural Board of the National Pension Commission (PenCom). He subsequently led regulatory turnarounds as Chairman of the Interim Management Committees for both Trustfund Pensions PFA and First Guarantee Pension PFA.

A two-term former National President of NASU and National Treasurer of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Barr. Takor is an alumnus of the prestigious National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Director at the Centre for Pension Rights Advocacy, and immediate past Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Epe Branch.
