Elendu Ojukwu Awa Esq

Mr. Elendu O. Awa (MNDRI) is the Head, Litigation and Dispute Resolution Unit of the National Pension Commission.

A seasoned litigation and pension governance lawyer with almost two decades of pension sector expertise, he specializes in pension administration and governance review.

He served as part of the team for the review of the Pension Statute and was involved in the development of pension jurisprudence. He is a member of the editorial team of the Pension Law Report.

He is a focal player for the Commission in the Legal Enforcement Sub-Committee of the Financial Services Regulation Coordination Committee (FSRCC).

Elendu Awa is a member of the International Dispute Resolution Institute (IDRI) and Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and International Relations in addition to a Law Degree from Abia State University and was called to the Nigerian Bar in October 2000.

He has acquired extensive international executive training in leadership, pension supervision and corporate governance. He is a proud coordinator of the Forum of Company Secretaries of the pension industry and serves as the Secretary of the Commission's Board of Inquiry on missing employees.
