About the speaker
Babalola Obilana is the Director-General of the Lagos State Pension Commission (LASPEC), bringing over two decades of private-sector financial services and public-sector leadership to the forefront of pension administration. Appointed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in June 2020, he oversees the strategic modernization, digital transformation, and governance of sub-national pension administration in Nigeria’s economic hub.
Prior to his public service, he held key executive leadership roles across leading financial institutions, including pioneer staff at ARM Pension Managers and Executive Director at Stanbic IBTC Asset Management.
An Actuarial Science graduate from the University of Lagos with an MBA from Obafemi Awolowo University, Mr. Obilana is an alumnus of Lagos Business School (SMP) and a Member of the Institute of Directors (MIoD).
